Sons of Saturday Ticket FAQ
Capital Kickoff (Friday party at Quincy Hall) questions first, then the Virginia Tech vs. Maryland game tickets.
Capital Kickoff: where is my ticket?
It's in your confirmation email — tap "Open your ticket" to pull up your QR code. Each ticket has its own QR. On your phone you can also add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from that page; the wallet pass carries the same QR.
Capital Kickoff: how do I get in on Friday night?
Doors open at 7:00 PM ET at Quincy Hall, 4001 Fairfax Drive, Arlington. Show the QR on your phone (email, ticket page, or wallet pass) at the door and staff will scan it. Screenshots work too — the QR is what gets scanned. Each QR admits one person, once; if you bought several tickets, open each one.
Capital Kickoff: my QR won't scan or my phone died
Show the ticket code printed under the QR (it starts with EVT-) and staff can type it in. Can't find your email? Search your inbox for "Capital Kickoff", check spam, or ask at the door for the box office — we can look you up by name or email and resend your tickets.
Capital Kickoff: can I give my ticket to someone else?
Yes — just forward them the ticket email (or the QR). Whoever shows the QR first gets in, so don't share it with more than one person.
Capital Kickoff: refunds?
All sales are final. If you can't make it, pass your ticket to a friend (see above).
When will I get my Virginia Tech vs. Maryland game ticket?
Your ticket will be transferred to your Maryland Athletics ticket account by the second week of August. You'll get a confirmation email from us when the transfer is complete. If you don't have a Maryland Athletics ticket account, a Paciolan account will be auto-created using the email you provided at checkout.
Can I resell my ticket?
No. Tickets are for personal use only and may not be resold on secondary markets (StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, Ticketmaster Exchange, or similar). Tickets identified on secondary markets will be voided by Maryland Athletics, leaving both you and any third-party buyer without valid entry. SOS is not responsible for losses arising from prohibited resale.
Can I transfer my ticket to a friend or family member?
Yes — you can transfer your ticket to a friend or family member at no cost through your Maryland Athletics ticket account's transfer feature, as long as the transfer isn't made in exchange for payment.
What if I can't make the game?
All ticket sales are final. We aren't able to issue refunds. You're welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend or family member (see above).
What happens if the game is canceled or rescheduled?
In the rare event the game is officially canceled or rescheduled by Maryland Athletics or the Big Ten Conference (e.g., severe weather, public health mandate, safety concerns), SOS will pass through whatever refund, credit, or rollover policy Maryland Athletics issues. SOS does not independently issue refunds for game cancellation.
Can I sit with my friends?
Yes. We're seating SOS buyers together in Sections 2, 203, and 311. If your group needs a specific accommodation, reply to your confirmation email and we'll work with you directly to get you sat together.
How do I get into the stadium on game day?
Once your ticket is transferred (the second week of August), it lives in your Maryland Athletics ticket account. Pull it up on your phone at the gate — same as any other Maryland game.
